Our warranty, printed in full

Ten years on our workmanship. Here are the actual terms, including the exclusions, before you buy rather than after.

Most coating companies will not show you the warranty until the job is done. Ask any of them for the exclusions in writing before you sign and watch what happens. Ours are below.

What is covered, for 10 years

If any of the following happens because of how we installed your floor, we come back and fix it at no charge to you. No deductible, no trip fee, no argument.

What is not covered

We would rather you read this now than find out later.

What voids it

Who it covers

The original purchaser, at the address where we installed the floor. The warranty does not transfer if the property is sold.

Making a claim

Call or text (815) 585-1750 and send a photo. We come look at it. If it is our workmanship, we fix it. If it is not, we will tell you what it actually is and what it would cost to deal with, and you are free to call someone else.

Why 10 years and not lifetime

Because we plan to still be here honoring it. A lifetime warranty is worth exactly as much as the company behind it in twenty years, and this trade has a lot of lifetime warranties attached to businesses that no longer exist. Ten years we can stand behind, so that is the number we print.

You will also notice we print the exclusions instead of burying them. Every coating company has them, including the ones advertising a lifetime. The difference is whether you get to read them before you buy or after something goes wrong.

Warranty questions

Is the warranty transferable if I sell the house?

No. It covers the original purchaser at the address where we installed the floor.

Why 10 years instead of a lifetime warranty?

Because we intend to honor it. A lifetime warranty from a coating company is only worth whatever the company is worth in twenty years, and most of this industry knows that. We would rather give you a term we can actually stand behind, in writing, with the exclusions printed where you can read them before you buy.

Does it cover the coating lifting because of moisture?

No, and no coating warranty we know of in this industry does. Slab moisture changes over the years with grading, drainage and the water table. What we do is build a moisture vapor barrier into every floor to fight it, and test your slab before we quote so you know what you are dealing with. If a test comes back high we tell you and price the heavier build. What we will not do is take the job quietly and let you find this exclusion out later.

What if my concrete cracks?

A coating is about a quarter the thickness of a credit card and it follows the slab. If the ground under your concrete moves and the slab cracks, the coating cracks with it. That is a concrete problem, not a coating problem, and no coating warranty in this industry covers it. We will tell you at the walkthrough if your slab looks likely to move.

How do I make a claim?

Call or text us. Send a photo. We come look at it. If it is our workmanship we fix it, and we do not charge you to come assess it.
